One of our most emblematic reserves has won a gold medal in the prestigious German competition.
For Carlos Ferreiro, winemaker at Bodegas Altanza: “this is the winery’s most exclusive reserve, it is aged in new French oak barrels that rest in a traditional-style draft. We limit its production to just over 48,000 bottles, being a well-structured, powerful reserve, of great aromatic complexity, silky and expressive on the palate. On the palate it is warm and harmonious as a whole. It is round and fleshy, giving a feeling of spaciousness in the mouth, with a long aftertaste and a clear reminder of black fruits “.
In recent years this competition has become the largest and most important international wine tasting in Germany. The contest is developed under the aegis of the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine) methodology. In this edition, the jury of experts has tasted a total of 6,300 select wines from the international scene.
In short, an important recognition for having taken place in one of the most prestigious international competitions in the world.
