The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of La Rioja has delivered the 2018 Internationalization Awards to Bodegas Altanza , as well as to two other companies from La Rioja, Teinnova and Rafael González Business Group, to whom we offer our sincere congratulations .
The gala, held in Logroño, was attended by José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, President of Bankia, as the guest of honor, who gave a speech entitled ‘Bankia facing the challenges of the financial sector’ in the presence of businessmen, authorities, winners, colleagues and friends. Among them, the General Director of Bodegas Altanza, David Sáez de Ojer , who received the award from the President of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja, Concha Andreu; a sculptural piece that represents Mercury, God of Commerce , as well as an accrediting diploma.
Sáez de Ojer, during his speech, thanked first of all the recognition of the Riojan Chamber of Commerce “because there is nothing like receiving an award of these characteristics in the land itself” and praised the work of the Export department of the winery and all the Altanza team “For their dedication and effort to continue growing, in volume, value and excellence ; in taking the Rioja brand around the world, and in teamwork that I consider an essential key to success ”. The Riojan winery, since its inception, has had a strong international vocation. In fact, currently it is exported to more than 50 countries and the international turnover reaches 50% of the total turnover. “Diversification is vital, both for clients and countries, hence we have been very proactive in markets that are not so common as in the Asia-Pacific area.”
Likewise, in this 24th edition, both the president of the Chamber of Commerce and the president of the Government of La Rioja have highlighted the importance of Internationalization as a fundamental strategy for the development of the business fabric and the future of the region.
These awards praise the export promotion and development work of Rioja companies, and are granted by the La Rioja Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Government of La Rioja, through ADER and the sponsorship of Iberdrola Spain and the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).
