WINE AS A PIECE OF ART SPANISH ARTISTS COLLECTION
Trying to continue the blending between the world of wine and that of art, Bodegas Altanza presents the fourth release of Lealtanza Spanish Artists Collection Reserva 2008, a limited production wine. Works from the painter Joan Miró are displayed on the 2001 labels, the 2004 bottle features Salvador Dalí and 2005, another excellent vintage, pays homage to the architect Antoni Gaudí. Now it’s turn of the Spanish romantic painterand forerunner of the pictorial avant-gardes of the 20th century, artist whom is regarded both as the last of the Old Masters and the first of the moderns, Francisco Goya.
Lealtanza Reserva Goya 2008is a wine that not only presents the characteristics of a Lealtanza, a Rioja, a Spanish wine, but comes with a metaphorical and emotional baggage, establishing this way a link between the two worlds that somehow are already connecting: the wine and art.
Combining the wine with the painting is quite a complex process but there can be found enough parallels: an artist belongs to a school, has a style and marks a time, an epoch; the wine has a Denomination of Origin that is like the school the artist belongs to. The label and the character represent the winery and the philosophy that applies when making the wine, in the same way as the artist creates his piece of art.
Though yet not so long available on the market, Lealtanza Reserva Goya 2008 steps firmly, marking its presence in the international wine magazines.

It is difficult to express the feelings which surround us when we enjoy this wine. Only to see it fall into the cup lets us amazed, displaying an intense scarlet red, cherry colour. On the nose it has force, maintains a lively freshness and vitality, with aromas of fine reduction and elegant black fruit. In the mouth it is even better, elegant, persistent, juicy acidity which keeps its finish fresh.
Simply described, A WORK OF ART!
